Modern Stairs in Sussex

The requirement

To form a simplistic set of stairs over three levels with open risers and integrated step lighting

The out come

A compliant and intricate combination of steel, glass, and timber that stands out as a key feature within the entrance of this residential home.

How we made it

An in-depth measured survey was taken to ensure building regulation compliance would be achieved. A set of outlined visualisations were formed and provided to the client ahead of construction. The steel base frame and glass was manufactured by one of our regular contacts and the timber steps were formed from solid timber. A CNC machine was used to form integrated housing joints and to inset the lighting for the steps and side supports/stringers. The product was installed by in-house specialists, with lighting connected. The finalised product was signed-off by the Building Control Officer, who noted the exceptional quality.
