Modern Wine Cellar & Shelving in Central London

The requirement

To form a modern wine cellar and shelving within the connecting corridor of a similar style within this high-end residential home in Mayfair.

The out come

The result was a luxury wine cellar and connecting corridor finished to an exceptionally high standard that made best use of the existing angles of the room.

How we made it

A detailed survey was undertaken of the existing rooms and a set of design options formed with visualisations for the client’s consideration. The primary frame of the units were formed from high quality walnut, making use of traditional mortise and tenon joints. The sub-sections of each frame were formed and connected with the same joints along with housed joints in required areas to produce a seamless finish. Interconnecting diamond storage shelving was formed using lap joints. Recessed niche lighting strips were incorporate using the in-house CNC machine. When complete, the cabinetry was disassembled and then reassembled on-site. The recessed lighting was installed by our main construction company. The cupboard doors were finished with a diamond stitch to reflect the patterns of the cabinetry.
